Marciel graduated with a BA Drama degree from Stellenbosch University in 2014, majoring in Media Studies and Directing under the supervision of Susan Beyers, Ruda Landman and Marthinus Basson. She recently starred in her first Afrikaans feature film, Klein Karoo 2, as well as her first Afrikaans short film, In die Middel van Nêrens. She played a supporting lead in an international film that will air in 2021.
